John Hall managing director of Enlightened Boating discusses the new 4.5m Lapstrake boat.
Today we’re on the water testing our brand new model, the 4.5m Lapstrake. It has a 30hp Suzuki, we’re testing performance and speed. We’re also doing the boat as a rooftop boat, we expect the weight to be somewhere around 115kg.
This boat is somewhat unique with the Lapstrake design, with a 30hp we’re doing around 25knots with 2 people and gear. We’ll rate it to 50hp / 60hp which should give 40knots +.
